Three separate charges, each different:
| Goes to | When | |
|---|---|---|
| Trading fee (maker/taker) | Hyperliquid | Every fill |
| Funding | The other side of your trade | Hourly, while a perp position is open |
| Builder fee | This DEX | Every fill, at a rate you approve up front |
The order ticket shows the maker fee, taker fee and builder fee that would apply before you submit.
The builder fee
This is the one fee this DEX sets. You approve a maximum rate once, with a signature, before your first trade. Every fill after that charges at or under the rate you approved, never over it. Hyperliquid also caps it outright, so it can never exceed the protocol’s own limit on a fill.
If you trade a prediction market on this DEX, it uses a separate, higher builder fee ceiling than perps. The first time you trade one you’ll be asked to approve that ceiling too, it replaces your earlier approval rather than stacking with it.
To change what you’ve approved, or to see the current rate, use the fee approval step from onboarding again, it re-runs at any time.
