Market and limit
Market fills immediately at the best available price on the book. Limit rests at the price you set until it fills or you cancel it.
Every limit order carries a time-in-force:
- GTC (good till cancelled) — rests until filled or cancelled.
- IOC (immediate or cancel) — fills what it can right now, cancels the rest.
- ALO (add liquidity only, “post-only”) — rejected instead of matching immediately. Use it when you only want to be the maker on a fill.
Stop and take-profit triggers
Stop and take-profit orders sit off the book until price crosses a trigger, then fire as a market or limit order. Set them from the order ticket before you open a position, or attach one to an existing position from Positions.
TWAP
Splits one order into smaller pieces over time, spaced by size and duration rather than a fixed interval, and evens out your fill price against a single large order. Minimum $100 total order size.
Scale
Places a ladder of limit orders across a price range in one action, instead of placing each level by hand.
Chase
An ALO (post-only) order this browser tab keeps re-pricing to stay at the touch, one tick above the best bid on a buy or one tick below the best ask on a sell. It keeps chasing through partial fills, up to 5 chases at once.
Chase only runs in the tab that started it. Closing the tab leaves the resting order in place but stops the re-pricing. Track it from the Chase tab in your account panel, not Open Orders. You can cap how far it is allowed to move from the price it started at.
The order book and chart
The order book shows resting bids and asks with a depth bar per level; the spread and mid price sit between them. The chart is a full TradingView chart: draw on it, drop order lines to place or edit a resting order by dragging, and see your fills marked on the price history.
